Ashen Orders happens in a post-apocalyptic Chicago full of magic and mythical creatures. The areas surrounding this hub are devastated and/or still under radiation. Locations are based on districts generally accessible to everyone.
Uptown
An area steeped in luxury (compared to the other districts, that is) and slightly better technology. With guards patrolling on a hourly basis, it is the safest district to abide in - assuming you have the funds. Steep taxes, and power-hungry loan sharks and their posses roam the area. While Midway is notorious for drug use, Uptown is only a shy better. A Vampire Coven stronghold stands proudly in the center, despite the fact that they don't rule this district. They merely possess the sufficent funds to own proprety.
Honour District
The Honour district is formed mostly of the less fortunate and street markets. People build their buildings with stone or other simple materials, or live in tents wherever they find a spot. The residents here are primarily purebred humans.
Midway District
An area mostly populated by notorious criminals. It's a place entirely free from any law or regulation. Drug abusers and gangs run wild. While dangerous at night, it doesn't really get any safer during the day. If you're weak, prepare to be victimized.
Greenwood District
Where once stood concrete buildings now unusually grow plants and vegetation, regardless of the season. It is one of the areas really reached by radiation, as some plants mutated and developed aggressive behaviour. The deeper you can venture in the forest, the more sparse vegetation becomes as magic spells protect the Witches stronghold.
Navy Pier
Near the ruins of a once-famous theme park stands the intimidating stronghold of the Were-creatures, imposing their laws on their territory. You are free to live there, as long as you stand under the Alpha's authority. This is where most of the factories and armories are. The water is still highly toxic.
Greater Chinatown
A very desolate place due to the constant influx of reawakened dead from the spacious local cemetery, caused by radioactive ground pollution.
